The Collective District is a community space that gives the opportunity to local artists in Toronto to have a voice in their community and connect with each other. Every month we will feature an artist and they will share their art through written post, videos and pictures.

Renée McPhee

Renée McPhee is a performance poet and social activist. Raised in London, England, she moved to Canada in 2008. As a black, queer immigrant woman, and a sexual assault survivor, Renée views her daily battles as opportunities to heal herself while touching the lives of others.

Anélia Victor

Anélia Victor is a Canadian jewellery designer and the owner of The Original Smiths; handcrafted accessories for men and women. She is a recent graduate of York University in Communication Studies. Anélia strives to work in consumer advocacy and social justice.
